Addendum No. 2 - March 2, 2026: Questions and Answers

The Capital Regional District invites proposals from qualified proponents to complete a feasibility study evaluating how the existing Port Renfrew Transfer Station can continue to meet current and future service needs. The study will assess usage with segmentation of Pacheedaht, residential and commercial sector waste, including seasonal variation; review operations; document the performance and lessons learned from recent upgrades; and identify and evaluate potential additional upgrades and operational optimizations at the current site. The study will provide high level cost estimates, key risks and mitigations, and an estimated timeline. The outcome will be a clear, evidence-based recommendation among existing-site options, supported by a practical decision and implementation framework.
