Addendum No. 001 Issued July 18, 2025 Re: bonding clarification, delete/replace, Q&A
The Work required under this Contract consists of hauling the Owner's and Contractor's supplied recycling, refuse or other roll-off bins on the Landfill Property to designated locations within the Landfill Property or other locations on Southern Vancouver Island for disposal or processing.
The Contractor shall at his expense pay for and supply all equipment and labour necessary to place bins at the designated areas within the Landfill Property. The Contractor shall also at his expense remove and haul the Contractor and Owner supplied bins to various areas within the Landfill Property or to the Processing Facilities and empty and return them to their respective locations within the Landfill Property. The CRD reserves the right to change material processing facilities for recyclable materials but they shall be located within a 60 km radius of the Landfill Property. The Contractor shall provide an hourly rate in the Schedule of Force Account Rates to haul bins outside the 60 km radius area.
The Contractor shall supply bins, as outlined below, for the Bin Area and Recycling Area located at Hartland Depot. The Contractor shall also minimally supply one truck of sufficient size, capacity and capability to transport the loaded bins at the direction of the Engineer. The truck and bins must use a hook-lift system.
All materials, with the exception of general refuse, shall be weighed at the Hartland Landfill scales prior to being moved to another on-site location or leaving the Landfill Property. Any bins leaving the Landfill Property shall be covered and/or the loads secured prior to leaving the Landfill Property to prevent spillage of materials during transportation.
